Santa Cruz Mountains Stewardship Network Climate Change Adaptation Workshop

December 1-2, 2020 • Virtual Series
Overview
This workshop series will focus on reviewing the results of habitat and species vulnerability assessments and vegetation distribution modeling in response to climate change, as well as developing adaptation strategies and actions based on the results of our vulnerability assessments.
The workshop will include:
- A review of the preliminary results of the vulnerability assessments for focal habitats and species and an overview of projected climate-driven changes in vegetation distribution.
- An introduction to and exploration of adaptation planning approaches, including presenting case studies and examples.
- Developing climate-informed management strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and/or increase resilience, including where, when, and capacity needed to implement.
