TRAINING & WORKSHOPS
Our Awareness to Action (A2A) Climate Adaptation Workshops embrace a learning while doing approach. Our trainings build local capacity while developing implementable strategies. The result is that you leave ready to take the actions that were just develope and able to continue the work as the climate continues to change and new challenges arise.
Building capacity and bringing our partners from awareness that climate change is an issue for them to taking actions needed to addresses the issues it causes are central to EcoAdapt's mission. Our adaptation experts have pioneered a series of innovative and interactive climate adaptation workshop approaches to bring all participants from climate change vulnerability awareness to solution implementation. The underlying goals of the A2A Workshops are to:
- strengthen the ability of individuals and organizations working on the ground to effectively prepare for and respond to climate change,
- create a network wherein knowledge, experiences and ideas can be shared,
- develop plans focused on specific regions, services, sectors, species, or habitats, and
- ensure participants leave committed to take action.
All A2A workshops are tailored to our partners' needs and are designed to ensure participants leave ready to begin integrating climate adaptation into their work. EcoAdapt staff members have authored key literature and tools for building resistance and resilience to climate change into conservation and community efforts--and we use that work to apply to our co-development of trainings and tools to meet partner needs.
