Climate-Informed Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning

Overview
Climate-informed coastal and marine spatial planning (CMSP) integrates the full suite of climatic changes and effects, along with the different uses, values, and needs, into planning for resilient coastal and marine environments. EcoAdapt has been working on several CMSP initiatives and advising on climate-smart planning and priorities in Washington State and British Columbia.

Objectives
This project will improve understanding of how, when, and where to integrate climate changes and impacts into coastal and marine spatial planning by providing guidelines, case study examples, and an online decision-support toolkit.

Products
The following items include general guidelines, case studies, expertise, and an online decision support toolkit to help you develop climate-smart coastal and marine spatial plans.
