virtual Forum Spring Series: Responding to Climate-Exacerbated Disasters
April & May 2023 • Virtual
Climate change is increasingly acknowledged as one of, if not the, greatest threat facing society. This threat includes more frequent climate-amplified extreme weather events, which means that preparedness and responses to these events must be critical elements of our country’s climate change adaptation strategy. This virtual series hosted by the National Adaptation Forum (NAF) will feature presentations focused on the impacts of climate change on extreme weather frequency and severity, planning and operational approaches to climate-exacerbated disasters, and building community resilience to disasters. Additional details will be posted closer to the series dates. We thank the CO2 Foundation for their generous support of this programming! Keep up-to-date on all virtual forum events on the NAF website.
